About
I live in Somers Town, London.
In June 2013 I started filming answers to one question, ‘What are your wishes?’ – for the area.
The answers reflect the concerns and issues of an area in transition – between two huge stations, with gentrification hanging over it.
The idea was that locals would film friends, neighbours, and family and it would grow.
Some did, but mostly I did. We used smartphones, iPads, our own cameras, and help from a professional filmmaker, Peter Gazey – thank you. And most of all – those who gave of themselves on film – thank you.
The story evolved as time moved on.
So the film goes on.
I finally got funding from the Lottery – it was a way of getting views towards a consultation for a Big Local initiative for Somers Town.
All filming has been by volunteers.
